John 7:2

2Now lthe JewsFeast of mBooths was at hand.

John 7:27-39

27But nwe know owhere this man comes from, and when the Christ appears, pno one will know where he comes from.” 28So Jesus proclaimed, qas he taught in the temple, rYou know me, and you know where I come from. But sI have not come of my own accord. tHe who sent me is true, uand him you do not know. 29 vI know him, for I come wfrom him, and xhe sent me.” 30 ySo they were seeking to arrest him, but zno one laid a hand on him, aabecause his hour had not yet come. 31Yet abmany of the people believed in him. They said, acWhen the Christ appears, will he do more signs than this man has done?”

Officers Sent to Arrest Jesus

32The Pharisees heard the crowd admuttering these things about him, and the chief priests and Pharisees sent aeofficers to arrest him. 33Jesus then said, afI will be with you a little longer, and then agI am going to him who sent me. 34 ahYou will seek me and you will not find me. Where I am you cannot come.” 35The Jews said to one another, “Where does this man intend to go that we will not find him? aiDoes he intend to go to ajthe Dispersion among akthe Greeks and teach the Greeks? 36What does he mean by saying, al‘You will seek me and you will not find me,’ and, Where I am you cannot come?”

Rivers of Living Water

37 amOn the last day of the feast, the great day, Jesus stood up and cried out, anIf anyone thirsts, let him aocome to me and drink. 38Whoever believes in me, apas
Or  let him come to me, and let him who believes in me drink. As
the Scripture has said, arOut of his heart will flow rivers of asliving water.’”
39Now atthis he said about the Spirit, auwhom those who believed in him were to receive, avfor as yet the Spirit had not been awgiven, axbecause Jesus was not yet glorified.
